Yvan Nobile, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and a dedicated servant to his country, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at the age of 86 in Beaumont, Texas. Born on April 29, 1939, in Algiers, Algeria, Yvan led a life enriched by service, family, and a generous spirit.

Yvan’s commitment to service began early in his life, as he joined the French Special Forces, where he exemplified dedication and bravery. He later continued his service in the United States Army Corps of Engineers, where he rose to the esteemed position of Chief Electrical Engineer and Grid Director. Throughout his decade-long tenure in Afghanistan, he not only oversaw vital electrical projects but also showed great compassion for the Afghan people, extending his kindness by sponsoring families and dedicating his time to restore essential services such as electricity. His efforts were a reflection of his character, always striving to bring peace, particularly to those close to him.

Academically, Yvan achieved a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, which laid the foundation for his successful career. Beyond his professional life, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Nobile International, a venture that further demonstrated his leadership and expertise.

As a jokester and lover of music, Yvan filled his home with laughter and joy. He was known as a hardworking family man who valued his time with loved ones, embodying a spirit of adventure and a zest for life. Yvan was a parishioner at Little Flower of Jesus Church, where he devoted time to church activities and was a quintessential pro-family advocate, underpinned by his deep faith in God.

Yvan also leaves a legacy through his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 and a half years, Daniele Nobile, and their children: Carol Nobile, who married Robert Sandell; Sandrine Nobile; and John Nobile, who is married to Nicole. His grandchildren include Miranda Meche, Lane Nobile, Madison Nobile, Bryce Meche, Easton Nobile, and Jayden Caballero, who will all hold dear the memories shared with their grandfather. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandchildren, Ella Nobile and Iris Meche, who brought him great joy. Yvan is also remembered by his sister, Marlene DeRueme, and brother, Jean-Louis Nobile, together with his sister-in-law, Danielle.

Yvan is preceded in death by his parents, Francois and Delores Nobile, his infant son, Yvan Nobile, and his brothers, Andre and Francois Nobile. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

Family and friends are invited to honor Yvan’s remarkable life during a visitation on May 31, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service beginning at 10:00 a.m. The services will be held at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas 77627.

His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him, as they cherish his spirit of service, love for music, and joyful nature. Yvan Nobile was truly an extraordinary man, devoted to his family and his mission to make the world a better place.
