Veniese Mary Bordelon

April 29, 1939 — March 9, 2024

Wildwood, Texas

Our beautiful and kind mother, Veniese Mary Dino Bordelon, passed away at her home on March 9, 2024.  She was surrounded by her four loving children, Lisa, Penny, Todd, and Brent as well as other family and friends.

A devoted Christian, wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother, and friend to so many, Veniese (Granny) leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that no one could match.  Never meeting a stranger, she brought joy wherever she went with her welcoming smile, generous heart, and kind spirit. She was born on April 29, 1939, in LeCompte, Louisiana to Myrtle Mary Ferry Dino and Vence John Dino, Sr.  She had a twin brother Vence, Jr. as well as a younger sister, Christina, and brother, Galen.

Veniese met the love of her life, Randolph Andrew Bordelon from Cottonport, Louisiana in 1957 and they were married on May 21st, 1960.  They raised their family in Port Neches, Texas, two blocks from the high school and city park.  With four children very close in age, they stayed busy with kids’ sports and activities while also holding on to a daily tradition of evening dinners together. She and “Dad” complimented each other by demonstrating a strong moral compass and dedication to family and values which are instilled in the family today.

Mom made the most of everything with her Sicilian Cajun energy. She showed love for her family through her delicious cooking and by keeping a meticulous home. She loved her coffee and morning walks.  She and Dad not only valued family gatherings and attending their grand and great-grandchildren’s games and recitals, but they also enjoyed entertaining their many friends over shared meals, spirits, and stories of the past.

Mom’s faith and belief in God was one of her most precious virtues.  She was a devout Catholic never missing a Sunday Mass. She became a Eucharistic Minister which was incredibly meaningful to her faith. She taught her children to put faith and family first, and to love your friends big. We will miss her every day.

Veniese was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Randolph “Randy” Andrew Bordelon, and by her parents and twin brother.  Veniese is survived by her daughters Lisa Bordelon, Houston Texas, and Penny Williams (Steven), Lumberton, Texas, and her sons, Todd Bordelon (Cindi), Port Neches, Texas, and Brent Bordelon (Deanna), Rosharon, Texas.  She is the proud grandmother of Andrew Gallet (Kourtnie), Alli Bell (Alex), Jace Bordelon (Adyson), Staff Sergeant, Austin Bordelon, United States Air Force (Janessa), Chase Williams (Hannah), Savannah Rocha (Adrian) and Tyler Killion (Kenzie) and the great-grandmother of her “little precious children” K’Leigh and Bryson Gallet, and Roger Bell. Seeing her family in successful loving relationships was one of her greatest joys.

We’d like to sincerely thank the special people who have loved and cared for our parents over the past years; their many friends in Wildwood and their special family of caregivers:  Gina, Carey, Dora, Charlesetta, Sadie, Tammie, Tiffany, Sabra, Joy, Natalie, Sandra, Patricia, Tawana, Rebecca and Olive Branch and Affinity Hospice.

A celebration of her life will be held at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton, TX on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, with visitation at 12:30 pm, Rosary at 1:30 pm and a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm with Fr.
