Troy Eugene Guidry, 57, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on July 30, 2025. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 27, 1967, Troy lived a life defined by devotion to his family, hard work, and the simple joys that made him happiest. Troy was a beloved father, grandfather, son, friend, partner, and devoted PNG Indian. As a 1986 PNG High School graduate, he spent decades enjoying the Friday night lights and wore his purple and white with pride.
For 38 years, Troy worked for UPS in Beaumont, TX, where he was known not only for his dedication but also for the personal connections he formed along his routes. He took great pride in knowing his customers trusted him, always going the extra mile to ensure they were cared for — a reflection of his generous and dependable spirit.
Outside of work, Troy’s greatest joy was time spent with those he loved most. He especially treasured moments with his family, whether gathered for everyday visits or special celebrations. His most cherished holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas, where he spent countless hours in the kitchen cooking for his family. This was one of his greatest joys in life.
A friendly game of poker with those closest to him was second only to the time he shared with his family — moments he held closest to his heart. His poker tribe began decades ago and as the years went on, these friends became family. Some of his happiest moments were spent sitting around that green, velvet table with his very best friends.
Troy is survived by his loving partner, Sherry Murray-Copeland; daughters, Taylor Gaspard and Paisley Guidry; son-in-law, Garrett Gaspard; grandson, Emmett Gaspard; mother, Donna Guidry; and sister, Alicia Guidry. He was preceded in death by his father, David Guidry, and grandparents, Verdie and Bill Gleason and Albert F. and Jackie Guidry.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on August 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1315 South 27th, Nederland, Texas followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. at the same location.
Troy will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, strong work ethic and bright smile. His memory will continue to live on through the friends and family who loved him deeply.
