Stetson Waldrep, beloved infant son of Bethaney and Jordan Waldrep, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on June 23, 2026, in Houston, Texas, Stetson brought immeasurable joy and love to his family during his short time with them.
There are very few words in our earthly tongue that can explain Stetson's time with us. Miraculously knitted in his mother's womb with a purpose bigger than we could have ever imagined, in just over three months, to witness what he accomplished without saying a word was absolutely breathtaking. His presence and strength to overcome all adversity can only be attributed to a living God with a perfect plan. He has been one of the biggest blessings our family could ever receive, and we could not be more proud. To have such a powerful testimony in so short a time is nothing short of amazing. The restoration of faith, the countless stories of hope, and the altered courses are just a small glimpse of the impact our mighty warrior had. Our hearts are hurting, but are so full at the same time; we are eternally grateful to our heavenly Father for giving us the best boy, and we have no doubt the first words spoken were, "Well done, my faithful servant." Jesus tells us in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Mommy, Daddy, and all of your sisters will love you forever, our perfect boy!
Stetson is also survived by his adoring sisters, Jensen, Everly, Rowyn, Amelia, and Blair Waldrep; his great-grandmothers, Judith Waldrep and Jean Brown; and his grandparents, Kevin and Dana Waldrep, and Terry and Peggy Metreyeon. He leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Dewey and Jessica Merren, Daniel and Danielle Metreyeon, and Christopher and Klacy Metreyeon, as well as his cousins, Willow Merren, Saige Merren, Tucker Metreyeon, Tilley Metreyeon, Wrenly Morein, Briar Merren, and Ripton Metreyeon. Stetson is also survived by a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, numerous cousins, and extended family and friends who cherished him.
