ibStanley Root Hotchkiss of Port Arthur, Texas died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1913 in Thomaston, CT to the late Edward G. and Grace R. Hotchkiss.Mr. Hotchkiss lived in the Port Arthur area for 5 years. He previously resided in Nokomis, FL for 20 years and in Thomaston, CT for 71 years.During his 71 years in Thomaston he owned and operated Hotchkiss Funeral Home and worked in the family real estate and insurance business. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Thomaston and the Rotary Club.He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Hotchkiss. He is survived by son, James Hotchkiss and wife Tammy and grandchildren Emily and Jacob of Port Neches, TX and daughter, Charlotte Hotchkiss and grandchildren Chad, Cory, and Joann of PA.Services will be held in Thomaston, CT later this year with burial at Hillside Cemetery, Thomaston, CT.bi
