Sharron Guilbeaux Wells, a cherished and vibrant soul, departed this life on April 3, 2026, in Port Neches, Texas. Born on February 26, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas, she graced this world with a spirit full of warmth, generosity, and dedication. Her life’s journey was deeply rooted in her love for family, faith, and community.
Sharron’s early years were marked by pursuit of education and faith, attending St. James and Bishop Byrne before graduating in 1966 from Thomas Jefferson High School. Her strong foundation in faith was reflected throughout her life as a devoted Catholic parishioner.
Sharron was known as a woman who was always well put together. She loved fashion and had a meticulous eye for detail, which inspired those around her. Family would tell funny stories of her going to great lengths to keep her daughters clean and tidy in their younger days. Sharron had an impeccable nature, always keeping things looking new and shiny. She was a hard worker, and it was important for her to keep herself and her belongings well maintained and in working order. She woke up early, keeping a clean house and would stay up cleaning cars and boats in the late hours of the night. She had a love of music which brought joy not only to herself but also to many around her. She spent hours making tapes of all her country music favorites and would gift them to family and friends. Her love of music and family was always on display with dancing in any room, never too small for an occasional two step. Her cooking skills were nothing short of remarkable, making her an amazing cook, whose love for nourishing others extended beyond the kitchen. Sharron’s appreciation for life was matched by her affection for the water. She cherished spending time at the lake or beach, hoping to instill a similar love in those she cared for.
Family was at the heart of Sharron’s life. She treasured moments with her children, grandchildren, and family often filled with life and laughter. Among many cherished memories is the gentle affection she showed through simple acts of kindness, such as giving haircuts as a tender symbol of her attentive and loving nature.
Sharron is lovingly remembered by her husband of seven years, Charles Wells; her daughter, Christy Smith and her husband Jeff, her daughter, Jamie Reddell and her husband Wade; her grandchildren Brooke Joseph (Jeff), Blake Smith (Brittney), Karli Reddell, and Kinley Reddell; as well as her great-grandchild Spencer Smith and baby Joseph is on the way. She is also survived by her twin sister, Karen Kaiser, brother Rohn Guilbeaux (Cathy), and her faithful fur pup Bentley. These family members carry forward her legacy of love, care, and spirited joy.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harding and Rose Guilbeaux; her husband of 47 years, Russell Knott; and brother-in-law James Kaiser, and nephew, James Michael Kaiser. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of all who knew Sharron.
The family will hold a visitation on April 10, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches, Texas. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, Texas, with a graveside service being held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park following the service. All who knew Sharron are invited to join in celebrating the life of a woman who truly embodied the spirit of grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
Sharron Guilbeaux Wells’ life was a testament to the beauty found in dedication to family, faith, and community. Her warmth, vibrant spirit, and nurturing heart shall long be missed but never forgotten.
