       Shane Anthony Champagne, 58, of Bridge City, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in Houston, Texas. He was born on March 26, 1966, in Port Arthur, Texas.


       Shane was employed as a Console Operator with Indorama Ventures and was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to work along his side. He was a beloved individual with an infectious and selfless personality that was known by all who knew him. His willingness to lend a helping hand to friends was a testament to his compassionate nature. Beyond his professional life, Shane found joy in various hobbies and interests. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace in the outdoors. His exceptional skills as a carpenter and woodworker allowed him to craft masterpieces, showcasing his creativity and dedication to his craft. It has been said that if Shane could see it, he could build it. Additionally, Shane took pleasure in caring for his honey bee hives and working with his tractor. His enthusiasm for researching and investing in the stock market reflected his curious mind and keen intellect.


       Shane is survived by his loving wife, Belynda Champagne, of Bridge City, Texas; parents, Tim Champagne and his wife, Donna, of Nederland, Texas; and Linda Davis and her husband, Howard, of Lumberton, Texas; sons, Evan Champagne and his wife, Hannah, of Bridge City, Texas; Kyler Champagne of Bridge City, Texas; daughter, Evvy Champagne, of Bridge City, Texas; brother, Thad Champagne and his wife, Lori, of Nederland, Texas; sister, Tiffany Champagne Langabeer and her husband, Jim, of Houston, Texas; grandson, Jaxson Carline; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.


       Shane Anthony Champagne was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Mildred Champagne, and Oramae and M.D. Toups.

       A gathering of Shane's family and friends will be held at Melancon~Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 beginning at 10:00am, also at the funeral home with Father Ernie Carpio, Officiant. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
