Sarah Elizabeth Arsement, a cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on March 3,2026, at the age of 87 in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on January 19,1939, in Tennessee, Sarah lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a passion for serving others.
For many years, Sarah devoted herself to the food services for the Nederland Independent School District, where she was known for her sweet nature and her fondness for nurturing the students. Her spirit illuminated every kitchen she worked in, and her kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her commendable career, Sarah found joy in various hobbies, particularly crocheting and gardening. She loved spending time in her garden, surrounded by vibrant flowers that mirrored her personality—a striking blend of beauty, warmth, and tranquility.
Sarah is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Donna Arsement Osgood and her husband, Kevin, and Julie Ann Barfield and her husband, Harvey. She took great pride in her family, which includes four granddaughters and an impressive lineage of thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as eleven great-great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Sarah also leaves behind her loving siblings, sisters, Lynne and Faye, and brother, Harvey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Clinard and Eunice Eldee Clinard, her beloved husband, Ernest Paul Arsement, and her brother, Ray. Their memories remain cherished within the hearts of those who survive her.
A graveside service to honor Sarah's life and accomplishments will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas, on March 7, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM.
Sarah Elizabeth Arsement will forever be remembered for her unwavering strength, loving spirit, and dedication to family and community. May her soul rest in peace.
