 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruston John Benoit, who departed this life on December 16, 2025, in Orange, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on August 17, 1943, in Gueydan, Louisiana, Ruston was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Ruston dedicated his life and retired from the esteemed profession of an Operator, spending twelve of those with Sprint Construction, earning respect and admiration for his craftsmanship and unwavering work ethic. He took great pride in his career and in contributing to the livelihood of his family.

Ruston's love for music, particularly Cajun tunes, filled his home with joy and brought friends and family together. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, who were his greatest treasure. His family knew him as a man of deep affection, whose greatest accomplishment was the legacy of love he built and nurtured throughout his life.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sandra Benoit, sons, Russell Benoit (Rhonda), Mickey Benoit (Lisa), Mark Benoit (Cathy), and stepson, Rickey Payne (Denise). Daughters, and stepdaughter, Felicia Lilley (Roger), and Deanna Harrington (Craig), along with grandchildren Grayson, Breana, Garren, Brock, Maggie, Kateland, Loni, Amanda, Michael, Cameron, and Courtney, will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. The family is further blessed with great-grandchildren Murphi Jill, Orion, Lottie, and Colson, who brought him immense joy in his later years.

Ruston is also survived by his brothers, David Benoit (Wilda) and Jerry Benoit (Sharon), and his sister, Brenda Touchet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Gladys Benoit, as well as his brothers Calvin, James, Russell, and Curtis, and his stepson, Jay.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Colony Missionary Baptist Church located at 13403 FM 1130, Orange, Texas, on December 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.

Ruston John Benoit will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the love he shared and the memories he created with all who had the privilege to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
