Ruby Mae Utvik

Ruby Mae Utvik, 96, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Ruby was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 29, 1914 to Henry York and Clementine Jones York. She was a lifelong area resident and retired from Discount Grocers as a clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Gunnar Utvik. Survivors include her two daughters, Beverly Hooker of Conroe, TX and Mary Ellen Landry and husband, Jake of Lumberton, TX; five grandchildren, Mollie Holdren, Julie Webb and husband, Danny, Nancy Hooker, John Landry and wife, Susie, Ashley Landry-Breaux and husband, Danny; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
