Rose Mary Segura, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother passed away peacefully on March 5, under much loving care, at Lizete Loving Care Facility in Port Neches. Rose was 86 years old.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend J.C. Coon. Internment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Rose was born on December 2, 1937, in Port Arthur, Texas to Mamie Zummo Mosca and Joseph Mosca. Rose and her husband Glenn were married for 67 years and were devout members of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. While Rose's health was failing for several years, her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through numerous illnesses, surgeries, and pain. Family was Rose's passion in life, and she devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. No one was more proud of her family than Rose. Before her health deteriorated, she loved cooking for family gatherings, attending her family's sporting events, recitals, pageants, and other activities. She, like her husband Glenn, logged many a mile and never missed a family member’s activity. Rose loved sports, music, dogs, playing Pokeno with her lifelong friends and movies, especially watching westerns with her husband Glenn. No one was a more loyal PNG fan than Rose. She and Glenn had season football tickets for decades. When her health declined, she spoke often about how much she missed being able to attend those games. Countless wonderful memories that she shared with her family will never be forgotten. Whether it was on a camping trip with her children, a family meal of her famous lasagna, a family crawfish boil, or a weekend at the family beach house, the one thing that was always present was laughter. She taught her family, while there was nothing more important than family, not to take themselves too seriously. Even near the end, she found a way to joke and smile.

Rose was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Mosca, her father, Joseph Mosca, her sister, Lucie Ann and her husband Raymond Meyer, her brother Benjamin Mosca.

Rose is survived by her husband Glenn Segura, son Karl Segura and his wife Lisa of Port Neches, son Kent and his wife Bonita of Port Neches, son Kyle and his wife Crystal of Port Neches, grandson Kellen and his wife Lauren of Austin, grandson Kane and his wife Breana of Port Neches, grandson Kyler and his wife Brittany of Port Neches, grandson Konnor of Port Neches, granddaughter Kristi of Port Neches, Granddaughter Kourtney and Garrett Ernst of Nederland and 7 great grandchildren.
