Robert J. quotJackquot Allen, 62, of Nederland, Texas passed away July 29, 2009. He was born in Kermit, Texas on February 14, 1947 to the late Dorris Lynwood and Verle Cooper Allen. He was a member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity at the University of Texas in El Paso, member of Wallace Hughston Masonic Lodge 1393 in El Paso, member of El Mina Shrine Temple of Galveston, Amateur Trap Shooting Association, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a member of Nederland Avenue Church of Christ.He was the loving husband of Nancy Allen of Nederland cherished father of James Allen of Dallas and John Allen of Nederland brother of Elizabeth Woolley and husband Jim of Garland, sisterinlaw, Cindy O39Bryan of Big Lake, 2 brotherinlaws, Pete Midkiff and wife Judy of Austin, and Tim Midkiff of Dallas nephew of Kristina Youngblood of Midland and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, July 31st, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland.Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1st, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Mr. Don Cain of Nederland Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Masonic Rites under the auspices of Nederland Masonic Lodge 1368 AF AM.
