Rita Gayle Coffman Dombrosky, a beloved member of her community and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Colleyville, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on July 20, 1939, in Duncan, Oklahoma to B.B. and Jewel McCutchen Coffman, Rita dedicated her life to her family and friends. She enjoyed serving others and could often be found visiting friends in hospitals or nursing homes or helping with doctor’s appointments or taking a warm meal.

Rita's robust spirit and unwavering faith were evident in her more than 50 years as a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland, where she was an active participant in the Silvertones Choir in her later years. Rita’s infectious laughter and warmth created lasting memories for all who were fortunate to know her. She delighted in the company of her family and friends and their gatherings were filled with love and laughter.

She lived her last year and a half at Ellery Arbor Memory Care in Colleyville where she enjoyed participating in the frequent sing-alongs offered by the facility. She would often sing along to the old hymns even after her words became few. She was well loved and cared for by the staff at Ellery Arbor and Custom Care Hospice.

Rita is survived by her children, Gayle Rayborn Reynolds (Duane) of Colleyville; Frank Dombrosky (Laurie) of Nederland; Orvie Dombrosky (Debbie) of Nederland; and Troy Dombrosky of Nederland, as well as her grandchildren, Sarah Tolar (Toby); Josh Dombrosky (Kayla); Rachel Doyle (Michael); Christopher Dombrosky; Alyson Heineman (Taylor); Bethany Torrez (Raymond); Ian Anderson; and Emma Anderson, as well as 15 great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind her brothers, Dale Coffman, Kenny Coffman (Sandra), and Tony Coffman; as well as sisters, Mary Kennedy and Laurie Dombrosky (Frank). Rita's life was enriched by numerous nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Dean Dombrosky; her parents, Broadus and Mary Jewel Coffman; her daughter, Brenda Rayborn Anderson; and her brother, Carl Coffman.
