Richard E. Worthy

Richard E. Worthy, born July 12,1936, passed peacefully from this life on December 3, 2025.  Leaving behind a legacy rooted in faith, service, and kindness.  A devoted Catholic, Richard lived with quiet humility and a genuine compassion that touched all who knew him.

He devoted himself to helping others in many meaningful ways.  Richard served his country with pride in the United States Army and later continued his life of service as a firefighter in Port Arthur.   His courage, steady presence, and dedication to the well-being of others defined not only his work, but his heart.

Richard was known for his gently spirit and warm, welcoming nature.  He gave freely of himself-through kind words, thoughtful gestures, and a sincerity that made others feel valued.  His life reflected a deep sense of purpose, guided by his faith and strengthened by his character.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Worthy; his son, Rhett Worthy; and his beloved grandchildren, Madison and Reece Worthy.  He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Worthy and Ronald Worthy, and his sister, Patricia Worthy, each of whom carries cherished memories of his kindness and strength.

Richard's life was full of meaning and love, and his legacy will continue through the family and friends who adored him.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.  May he rest in God's eternal peace.
