Richard "Ricky" Woods

Richard Donald "Ricky" Woods, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, in Port Neches, Texas. Born on August 10, 1958, in Schweinfurt, Germany, Ricky lived a life marked by dedication and simple joys, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Ricky found great pleasure in the outdoors, often spending his time fishing, a pastime he truly enjoyed. He also had a passion for the open road, embracing the freedom of riding motorcycles. Professionally, Ricky was a skilled individual, dedicating his working years to expertly maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Gay Woods of Port Neches, who was his constant companion and partner in life. Ricky also leaves behind his loving son, Chase Woods, and his wife, Ana, of Bridge City, and his cherished daughter, Kristin Mitchell, and her husband, John, also of Bridge City. His memory will be treasured by his four grandchildren, Melody Mitchell, Jasmine Mitchell, Scarlett Mitchell, and Cain Mitchell. He is also survived by his dear sister, Elsie Schu, and her fiancé, Scott White.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helga Woods. His kind spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the memories created will forever remain in their hearts.
