So sorry to hear about Ricky. I don't believe that I've seen him since high school but remember him as being "one of the good ones". I remember renting a surfboard with Ricky and trying to surf these tiny waves either at Galveston or Crystal Beach. David Miller was there. We were bad and probably looked pretty funny but hey, we were still at the beach. My loss for not looking him up since then.

Mr and Mrs Parsons and Lana, I am so sorry to hear of Ricky's sudden passing. As Edna mentioned below, we both have very special fun-filled memories of our high school and college years spent laughing and singing with Ricky and Lana at your home and sometimes at camp. Ricky's smile was so contagious, as was his love of music and of happy times. His eyes lit up when talking about the Caymans, and after recently visiting that special place on earth, I can see why it was his and Lana's passion! Another great memory was my first trip to New Orleans with Ricky and his friends and Lana, when he was working for a radio station back in 1980! Good times in deed! God will take good care of your precious son and brother. May His peace be with you until you are all reunited! Please know that Ricky's sweet and free spirit will live on in many others!

Mr. & Mrs. Parsons and Lana, My thoughts and prayers go out to you when hearing of Ricky's passing. While many years have gone by since I last spoke with him, I know that he leaves behind a very loving family, and many old friends. Once you met Ricky, you could never forget him. Teen years spent hanging out with Lana often found us back at the Parsons home, laughing and listening to classic rock with Ricky and his friends. That's where I first discovered Led Zepplin and the Rolling Stones, and how cool a big brother could really be. He was a genuine free spirit, a loving brother, and son whom I know will be deeply missed. Peace be with you

My deepest condolences to you. I am so sorry to hear of Ricky's passing. We spent a lot of time together during our teenage years. I have wonderful memories of Ricky, David Miller, Mike McGreevy and others. We had great times at church camp and doing all the things teenagers do. Ricky was always so kind, gentle and thoughtful. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart. He always smiled and was so easy-going. This world will miss him terribly. Again, I am so very sorry. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can find comfort in our loving Heavenly Father at this time of grief.

A brilliant man, a former student of mine at Lamar, a shining light in his personality and conversation, Rick will be missed. He somehow never found his true place in this world, but the world is better for his having been in it. I am sorry to hear of his death, and Donna and I send our condolences to his family and friends.
