Rhonda Sue Brandin

May 24, 1952 — October 6, 2024

Port Arthur, Texas

Rhonda Sue Brandin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, departed this life on October 6, 2024, at the age of 72 in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on May 24, 1952, Rhonda graced the lives of many with her warmth, kindness and love.

She was the devoted wife of 41 years of Charles Neil Brandin, who continues to cherish her memory in Port Arthur. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, a bond that enriched their lives, those of their children and grandchildren.

Rhonda leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughters, Danielle Good and her husband Neil, residing in Washington State, and Denise D'Abadie of Groves, Texas. Her son, Michael Brandin, and his wife Lisa, live in Nederland, Texas. Rhonda's family extended beautifully with her grandchildren: Destinee Good, Dylan Good, Samantha Hammons, Nicholas Babineaux Hammons, Andrew Ty Hammons, Alexander Oregel, and Alexandra Oregel. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she took immense joy in being an integral part of their lives.

Moreover, Rhonda was blessed with great-grandchildren: Oliver Good, Ryker Galloway, and Mahaley Miliner, who brought additional light and laughter into her world.  Rhonda will be lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law, James Guin & his wife Cynthia of Tomball.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John David Guin and Ollie Belle Harper , and her brothers, Victor Guin and Bob Guin. Their memories lived on in her stories and the impact they had on her life.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on October 10, 2024, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, located at 3324 Park Drive, Nederland, Texas, 77627. Following this, a memorial service will commence from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.

Though Rhonda was known by many names, some of the most beloved knew her as Rhonda Sue, RB, and perhaps her favorite name of all Big Momma. Rhonda Sue Brandin will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose love, humor and occasional pranks brought joy to those around her. Her unwavering faith and love for Jesus were evident in her actions. She adored her grandkids and cherished every moment with them. Her selflessness knew no bounds, always putting others before herself. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her boundless love and generosity by those that had the privilege to know her.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice in her name.
