Becky Menard

July 23, 1952 — March 6, 2026

Port Neches, Texas

Becky Menard, a devoted caregiver and cherished member of the community, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born on July 23, 1952, in Beaumont, Texas, she lived a life dedicated to compassion, love, and service.

Her greatest joy was staying at home with her husband, working around the house, and taking rides for hours in silence enjoying each other’s company. She loved planting flowers in her flower bed, nurturing them like she nurtured her family. The only thing she did not like to do was pull weeds so she would let Kevin do that which might be why his back hurts and he needed surgery.

She loved her dogs Maddie & Jovi even though Jovi would frustrate her barking all the time and attacking our legs, biting, leaving bruises and sometimes lacerations, but when the day would settle and the sun would set, he was right there by her side.

Even though she was in pain and hurting she never lost faith, in fact when Kevin had his surgery she was so proud of his spiritual growth, they both had major surgery in a short period of time and they leaned on Jesus and his healing power and strength to get them through. She would tell me how Kevin was pleading the blood of Jesus over himself and speaking scripture aloud over his body and hers as well. She told me that he would hold her hand at night and pray before they went to sleep. Their love was unbreakable and stronger than ever.

She prayed hard for her family, husband, daughter son’s, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We know that God hears every prayer and they will not return void, in fact I am a walking testimony of a praying mother.

She was very proud of her three children and the life they had made for themselves.

Her daughter lived around the corner, and it was common for them to take turns cooking and eating meals together, she loved Ronnie’s smoked chicken, Ronnie loved her fried pork chops and chicken and dumplings, and her daughter loved everything she cooked.

Her last visit to her son’s home in Washington was to celebrate her granddaughter Ellis’ 16th birthday and spend time loving them. She loves to hear about Isaac and his baseball. He FaceTime her in the hospital to let her know he made the high school baseball team and she was so excited.

She loved Keenan and Tommy and said she really enjoyed the time they came to town and went to eat with Tommy’s parents. She said they were a very loving family, and she really enjoyed their company.

She was proud of her granddaughter Ashli and Jorge and the family they were raising. Kingston started playing baseball again and when we asked if he was excited about playing again, he said no he was more excited about her burritos. Nana would make burritos and bring bananas for them to eat before every game. With that being said, I had to ask her for the recipe so I could continue making the famous burritos that are better than Taco Bell and she said the secret ingredient was bacon grease. She used this as an opportunity to let my brother know she slipped some bacon grease in the mustard greens she cooked for him, this would be no big deal to us, but it is to him because he does not eat pork.

She loved to go shopping with her sisters Bennie and Lorraine, which they called scooter pooting and when shopping with Lorraine they referred to themselves as Thelma and Louise. She loved all her family and would do anything for them.

Becky was a member of Encounter Church from the first day the church opened. She loved her church and the woman’s small group she attended faithfully at Brenda Grangers home. She would tell everyone about Jesus; it was common for her to go the grocery store and invite random customers or even the cashier to attend Encounter.

She has an amazing testimony of how she got away from her walk with the Lord. But as Jesus does, the left the ninety-nine to run after her and she turned her life around. He restored her and made beauty out of ashes which led her to what she called her ministry of being a caregiver. She cared selflessly for John and Eula Menard, Donald Wilcox, Howard and Olite, Ike and Joyce Whitehead. She always said that we are called to care for the widow, and she did an amazing job of doing just that without complaining. She visited numerous people in the hospital so she could pray over them and make sure they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Kevin Menard, of Port Neches. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy, creating lasting memories with their family. Becky's legacy continues through her children: her daughter, Wendy Badgett, and her husband Ronnie, of Port Neches, and her son, Ronnie Roller Jr. (Noi), of Seattle, Washington., and Keenan Pyden and Tommy. She adored her grandchildren, Ashli Enriquez and her husband Jorge, Ellis Roller, and Isaac Roller, and took great pride in her great-grandchildren: Kingston, Madison, and Liam Enriquez.

Becky is also remembered fondly by her sisters: Linda Brittain of Center, Texas, Lorraine Foux and her husband Freddie of China, Texas, and Bennie O' Donohoe of League City, Texas, and her brother Kenneth Wilcox and his wife Laurie of Beaumont, Texas. She treasured the bond she shared with her numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry her spirit forward in their hearts.

Welcoming her into eternal rest are her brothers, Thomas R. Wilcox, Louis E. Wilcox, Robert Paul Wilcox Sr., Jessie L. Wilcox, Ronald G. Wilson, Donald R. Wilcox, and Joseph D. Wilcox, who awaited her arrival in the embrace of the Lord.

A visitation will be held on March 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Encounter Church, located at 5300 Twin City Highway, Groves, TX 77619. Becky's life will be honored further at a burial service at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, located at 618 Block Street, Port Neches, TX 77651, beginning at 2:00 PM.

Becky Menard will be deeply missed by all who knew her, her memory forever etched in the hearts of family and friends alike. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, yes well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

Matthew 9:20-21 And behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
