Patricia retired from the United States Post Office after many years of dedicated work. She was the oldest female letter carrier to walk a route in Groves, Texas at the time she retired. She had many wonderful talents, including making delicious homemade bread, oil painting landscapes, and playing the guitar while singing her favorite cowboy songs. She also loved to use tools to build whatever was needed around the house, including a wheelchair ramp and a patio cover for the back door. She had an unwavering desire to assist those in need. Patricia's kindness and great sense of humor were a hallmark of her character, making her a cherished figure among all who knew her. She had the ability to make friends of strangers and her cheerful, positive attitude made all who met her love her.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she found strength, fellowship, and the opportunity to serve. An embodiment of vigor and enthusiasm, Patricia loved all types of outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, yard work, or almost anything that gave her the opportunity to be outside.
Patricia was devoted to her beloved husband, David Walter Hulet, Sr., through all of life’s triumphs and challenges. They were best friends always and when he became ill, she lovingly and unwaveringly cared for him day and night. Patricia also took great joy in her grandchildren, playing with them, taking them on walks, and riding bikes, which created memories that would last a lifetime.
Patricia leaves behind her cherished family, which includes daughters Rene Sheppard, Marie Hulet Moore, and her husband, Kevin, and son David Walter Hulet, Jr., and his wife, Dolly. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christopher Noyola, Jason Noyola, Marcus Noyola, Brandon Nusbaum, Kristabel Roth, Kevin Michael Moore, Kalie Ricci, and Aislynn Hulet. Additionally, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren, her dear sister, Kay Miller of Greensville, South Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Patricia in death are her beloved parents, Calvin and Marie Logsdon; her devoted spouse, David Walter Hulet, Sr.; and her siblings, Jack Logsdon, George Logsdon, Leonard Logsdon, Donald Logsdon, and Sue Jackman.
