Patricha "Pat" Ann Poole

Patricha “Pat” Ann Poole, 80, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. She was born on September 11, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Alexie Lopez Sr. and Isabelle Toups Lopez.

Pat worked for the Houston Post & Chronicle and was a Mail Carrier for the Crosby Post Office for many years. Pat was also a gourmet cook and baker who owned her own diner at one point. She enjoyed making and selling her own custom jewelry and floral arrangements. In her spare time, she loved nothing more than kicking back and shopping from the comfort of her own home through QVC. In Pat’s younger years she enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, fishing and crabbing. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who held a special place in her heart for her dogs Lil Bat, VW and Vader to name a few. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Those left behind to cherish Pat’s memory are her loving husband of 55yrs, Virgil Poole; her son, Jerry Ray Langford, Jr. and his wife, Irma; her daughter, K. Denise Zehrung and her husband, Gary; her daughter, Cindy Zeno; her grandchildren, Bryan Amaya, Jesse James Langford, Jerry Ray Langford III, Thomas Zehrung, Heather Miller and her husband, Monroe, Mitchell Zehrung, T.C. McIntyre and his wife, Dee, and Chelsea McIntyre; her brothers, Richard Lopez and Alexie Lopez, Jr. and his wife, Ann; and lots of great grandchildren and loving family members and friends.

Pat is preceded in death by her Parents; her brother, Larry Lopez, Sr.; and her nephew, Larry Lopez, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends for a visitation will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Memorial Service to honor Pat’s life will be held immediately following the visitation on Saturday and will begin at 3:00 p.m.
