Onetta Ruth Hebert

Onetta Ruth Hebert, 90, of Wiergate, Texas formally of Bridge City, Texas joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Ruth was born September 9, 1932 in Jasper, Texas to William and Ellen Hopson.

Ruth was a member of Well-Hope Christian Fellowship in Bridge City, Texas and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting and reading.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen (Williams) Hopson and Willian Felix Hopson; spouse, Lucien P. “Sonny” Hebert; son, Paul Dennis Haley; grandson, Paul Dennis Haley, Jr.

Those left behind to cherish Ruth’s memory include her children, Craig Hebert and his wife, Libby of Woodville, Texas; Michael Haley and his wife, Linda of Wiergate, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers include Gavin Haley, Dustin Orchosky, Richy Lundquist, David Lundquist, Bryan Green, Izekel Haley and Noah Haley.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Ruth’s Life to begin at 1:00 p.m., at Well-Hope Christian Fellowship; 120 Bland Dr., Bridge City, Texas 77611. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
