 Michael Lane Clark, a loving father, beloved son and brother, and cherished friend, passed away on June 13, 2024 ,leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will forever be remembered. He was born on July 6, 1968, in his beloved hometown of Nederland, Texas, where he spent his formative years surrounded by his friends and community that he adored so much.

Throughout his life, Michael exemplified dedication and commitment through his career as a Project Manager at Exxon Mobil for over two decades. Michael was a man of many passions. He found solace in the great outdoors - whether it was hunting in the Hill Country or casting a line while fishing in the ocean.

But perhaps most importantly, Michael was a man of deep faith and community spirit. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Nederland Post #5145, as well as an active participant in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church community in Nederland. His involvement in the ACTS Retreat Team showcased his commitment to serving others with compassion and generosity.

In the hearts of those who knew him best, Michael will forever remain a beacon of love and light. He is survived by Laura Clark, his loving parents Pat and Warren Clark, his daughters, Brooke Clark Underwood and husband, Alan and Kaitlyn Clark, as well as his faithful companion Beaux who brought him endless joy. Michael also leaves behind his brothers, Bryan Clark and wife, Peggy and Stephen Clark and wife, Chris, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. 

He will be reunited in his heavenly home by his grandparents Edia Ivey and Ceyrac Clark along with Howard and Anita Kelley.

A visitation to honor Michael's life will be held on June 18th at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on June 19th at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 211 Hardy Avenue in Nederland starting at 10:00 AM.

Serving as Pallbearers for Michael will be Cody Clark, Colby Clark, Brandon Reed, Chase Wert, Cade McLeod, and Peyton McLeod. Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers are members of “The Nederland Mafia” that have been lifelong friends and residents of Nederland.

As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul whose presence brought joy to all who knew him, may we take solace in knowing that Michael Lane Clark has left an indelible mark on our lives through his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love. In our memories and hearts forever he shall reside.
