Mercedes Maravilla, Age 53, of Port Arthur, passed away surrounded by her family and friends in Port Arthur, TX on November 27, 2009.She was born to Raul Quinteros and Christina Araujo in El Salvador on May 24, 1956. Mercedes was an area resident for 20 years. She worked in retail sales at Bealls Department Store. Mercedes was a member of Iglesia Fuente De Vida Church. She was the devoted wife of Pablo A. Maravilla of El Salvador loving mother of sons Roberto Araujo, Sergio Araujo, Carlos Araujo and Walter Araujo all of Port Arthur. Mercedes was the loving daughter of Raul Quinteros of El Salvador. She was the beloved sister of Ruben D. Araujo and Gladys Araujo of El Salvador and was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren. Mercedes was preceded in death by her mother, Christina Araujo. Visitation and funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009 and will continue through the morning hours of Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Iglesia Fuente De Vida Church, 2838 27th Street, Port Arthur, TX with Virgilio Illa officiating.
