Martina Gamboa Gonzalez

Martina Gamboa Gonzalez, 78, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on January 7, 1944, in Zacatecas, Mexico.

Martina was a loving and faithful wife to her husband, Jose Gonzalez, Sr., who she missed dearly. She was a hardworking woman, and through that hard work, Martina and her husband provided a loving household for their children. Martina enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and “Abuela”. Martina will be missed, and her memory will carry on through all those who knew her.

Those left behind to cherish Martina’s memory are her son, Jose Gonzales, Jr., her son, David Gonzales and his wife, April; her grandchildren, Alexis Gonzales, Alisha Gonzales, Dylen Gonzales, and Daylen Gonzales. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Jose Gonzalez, Sr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A memorial service in Martina’s honor will immediately follow beginning at 4:00 p.m.
