bMaria Ruiz, 86, passed away at her home in Port Arthur on October 10, 2009. She was born in McNeil, Texas on November 16, 1922 to the late Fortino and Simona Macias Ruiz.She was the loving mother of 3 sons, Marcial Govea of Mexico, Salvados Govea of Mexico, Jose Govea of Port Arthur, and 3 daughters, Maria DeJesus Govea of Mexico, Eva Reyes of Port Arthur, and Altagracia Govea of Port Arthur devoted grandmother of 38 grandchildren, 144 greatgrandchildren, and 1 greatgreatgrandchild and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, October 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland.Funeral services will be Friday, October 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Father Blanco officiating.
