Margaret Bowman Arisco, a beloved mother and grandmother of Port Neches departed this world on December 2, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on November 8, 1930, in Elkhart, Texas, she spent her life taking care of her family and beloved pets.
A dedicated homemaker, Margaret's home was always ready and open for you to stop by and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and something sweet that she had usually baked. She also enjoyed taking care of her pets and spoiling them. When Margaret had a project to do she put 110% into it. She was remarkable for her selflessness, always taking care of everyone and ensuring that those in her life felt cherished and valued.
Margaret was a proud member of Southside Baptist Church, where she served as the Librarian for many years. Her dedication to her faith and family created a lasting impact that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Survived by her loving family, Margaret is remembered by her sons, Davey Bowman of Groves; Buddy Arisco and his wife, Molly of Lewisville, Texas, daughters, Phyllis Hoffpauir and her husband, Scott of Port Neches, Mia Burd and her husband, Terry of Beaumont. She also leaves behind grandchildren, David Bowman and his wife, Samantha, Erica Jeanise and her husband, Harley, Stephanie Cole and her husband, Philip, Tracy Cole and her husband, Eric, and Lisa Gilliam and her husband, Kevin. In addition, she is survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, with more on the way. Margaret is also remembered by her daughter-in-law, Julie Arisco.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, Obie Bowman and Anthony J. Arisco, Sr.; her sisters, Lucille Hanks, Gladys Herod, and Jean McKinney; her brother, Charles Prater; her daughter-in-law, Diana Bowman; and children, Vickie Fears and Anthony J Arisco Jr..
Visitation will be held on December 5, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church, located at 1990 Llano Street, Port Neches, Texas 77651. A Graveside Service will take place the following day, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Muse Cemetery, located at Hwy 294 and FM 228 in Slocum, Texas.
In celebrating Margaret's life, we reflect on the many cherished moments she shared with her family and friends. Her unwavering love, passion for nurturing life, and dedication to her faith will leave an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
