Linda A. (Vidrine) Guidroz, 68, of Port Neches, TX, passed away early on March 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on December 10, 1956, in Port Arthur, TX, to James and Wilda Vidrine, who both preceded her in death. Linda graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1975 and married her high school sweetheart, Jeffery Guidroz, in 1977.
She was a devoted mother of three, and over the years, became a steady presence and source of support for many of her children’s friends as well. Linda loved cooking and antiquing, but even more than the hobbies themselves, she loved the people she shared them with. There was always a trip in the works to visit one of her children, spend time with her sisters, or head to Louisiana to celebrate her Cajun heritage and culture.
Linda connected easily with people and made friends wherever she went. She was warm, open, and genuine. She could talk to a complete stranger for 15 minutes and would end up uncovering some distant connection between them. She worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist, ultimately retiring from The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jeffery; their children, Sarah (Russell), Brandon (Tania), and Jonathan (Elizabeth); and her sisters, Carleen (Harry Paul) and Judy (Michael). She also leaves behind an extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Linda was a source of warmth and support to everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strong family ties that will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
