Leslie Paul Broom, beloved husband, father, brother, friend, and proud American, passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 59.

Leslie lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for those around him. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before building a successful career and eventually owning and operating his own business for 21 years. He continued to use his knowledge and skills working for G- Force at Motiva. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence.

Above all else, Leslie cherished his family and friends. He spent countless hours coaching his boys’ baseball teams, creating memories and teaching lessons that extended far beyond the baseball field. He was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved.

Leslie enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, loved throwing horseshoes, grilling BBQ, and relaxing with a cold Miller Lite. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and could often be found cheering them on or yelling at the TV! One of his favorite places was by the lake, watching the sun set and appreciating God’s beautiful creation. He also had a special love for everything PNG.

Leslie will be remembered for his warm smile, generous heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and ability to make friends wherever he went. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared so freely.

Leslie is survived by loving wife of 29 years, Tasha Hartman Broom. Sons Bailey Broom and Peyton Broom. Sister Teri Schobel (Carl), and brother, Allen Ferguson. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Collin Foy, and his parents, Eaul Broom and Linda and RJ Eakin.

A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held on June 20, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at The Temple, located at 4101 Texas 73, Port Arthur, Texas. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the same location, with a graveside service commencing at 3:15 p.m. at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches, Texas.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Leslie’s memory will live on in every sunset over the lake, every baseball game, every round of golf, and every gathering of family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Tasha, this is Karen Ryan Bertrand's mother. He called me yesterday to tell me the sad news about your husband. I am praying for you and your family. When my husband died 9 years ago it was a big help talking about it and still is today. Again I am so sorry about your loss.
