John C. Kissinger, Jr., 93, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Cypress Glenn Nursing Home in Port Arthur. He was born in Galveston on November 29, 1919 to the late John Charles Sr. and Edna Chassaniol Kissinger. He was retired from the railroad as a demurrage inspector and he served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Road, Houston, Texas 77089 at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 with Deacon Jesse Tollett officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas, under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Paysse Kissinger; his parents; and his sister, Edna Dickey. He is survived by his daughters, Frances Moore and her husband, Earl of Bayou Vista and Beth Neumann and her husband, Larry of Nederland; his son, J. C. Kissinger III and his wife, Nancy of Houston; grandchildren, Heather Kissinger, Chris Kissinger and wife Lacey, Natalie Gomez and husband Torrey, Holly Dainwood and husband Mikel, and Bonnie Mosley and husband, Micah; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Larry Neumann, Earl Moore, Chris Kissinger, Mikel Dainwood, Torrey Gomez, and Micah Mosley.
