On June 9, 1979, Jillian Cathlynn Hunt burst onto the scene and embarked on a path of changing the world for the better. The epitome of a Renaissance Woman, Jillian could do anything. As the owner and office manager of Healthsource Chiropractic of Nederland, she dedicated herself to her work, garnering admiration from colleagues and gratitude from patients, whom she welcomed with her dazzling smile. For 10 years, her summers began with Vacation Bible School, for which she wrote the curriculum, at her beloved church, First Baptist Groves. She volunteered at her children’s school and athletic events and supported Girls Haven. Creative in myriads of ways, she cooked, she sewed, she decorated, she took photos, and she sang like an angel.
Jillian’s zany sense of humor is evidenced by the magnificent dinosaur in her front flower bed, a sculpture she’d long desired. Her adventurous spirit, love of travel and interest in history led her to visit Scotland, France, Disney World, Estes Park, and New Orleans. If anyone suggested an adventure, Jillian was ready!
Jillian’s greatest joy came from being a mom to Jackson and Lilli. She was her kids’ constant cheerleader, never missing an athletic or school event. Her children’s friends gravitated to her, and she became a mother figure to many, freely offering guidance and support. Her strength and compassion made her the “glue of her family.” Truly, Jillian’s devotion to her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Jason Hunt; her parents, Floyd and Laura Keeney; her son, Jackson Hunt; her daughter, Lillian Hunt; her sister, Erin Keeney Dyson and her husband Brent; and her brother, Hunter Keeney, and his wife, Beth, along with scores of devoted aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jillian was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carole and JD Peet and Betty and Floyd Keeney; her cousin Marlee Floyd Willingham; and her nephew, William Welles Dyson.
Jillian’s visitation will be held on July 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by her funeral service at 4:00 PM, both at First Baptist Church Groves, located at 4000 Grant, Groves. Texas 77619. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Groves.
Jillian’s faith, kindness, generosity, and joie de vivre set an example for all of us to follow. She did, indeed, make this world a better place, just by being Jillian.
