Jesse Joseph Roberts, 74, of Port Acres, TX, born in Opelousas, LA, died Tuesday, December 29th, 2009 at the Dupuis Hospital, Port Arthur, TX with his family present. For nearly 55 years of his life he spent it on the waters as a tugboat captain. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Lillian Ann Roberts, nine brothers and a sister. He is survived by 6 brothers, Rufus Roberts, Johnny Roberts, Wilton quotBebquot Roberts, Murphy Roberts, VJ Roberts, Wilber quotTeequot Roberts, and two sisters, Ruth Noel and Brenda Boutte 13 children: Evelyn Simmons, Wanda Broussard, Elizabeth quotLizquot Courville, Debbie Doucet, Raphael quotRayquot Roberts, Stephanie Roberts, Darryl Roberts, Michael quotShaynequot Roberts, Candace quotCandyquot Roberts, Shanda Roberts, Blake Roberts, Amanda Roberts and Tyran Roberts. He also leaves behind 24 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
