Jerry Marie Hopper, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023. She was born on September 11, 1953, in Port Arthur, Texas to Sopopa (Gonzales) Davidson and Gerrit George Eylders.

Jerry was a member of St. Therese, the Little Flowers Catholic Church in Port Acres. She was a woman of remarkable character and a joy to all who knew her. Jerry had a quick wit and an infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. Her magnetic personality drew people in, and she never met a stranger. Jerry's sweet spirit touched the lives of many throughout her lifetime.

Jerry Marie Hopper lived a life filled with love and laughter. She had a passion for shopping and enjoyed playing Bingo whenever she had the chance. These hobbies brought her immense joy and allowed her to create beautiful memories with her family and friends.

Jerry is survived by her loving spouse of fifty years, James C. Hopper of Port Acres, Texas. Together they created a strong and beautiful bond that lasted a lifetime.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter Salina Watson and husband John of McKinney, Texas; stepdaughter Brenda Lunsford and husband David of Kentucky; grandchildren Morgan Watson, Mariah Watson, Montana Watson; great-grandchild Adelyne Grace Bladino; step-grandchildren Corey, Ryan, Hailey; several step-great-grandchildren; brother Oris Davidson Jr. and wife Stacey of LaBelle, Texas; brother Ricky Davidson and wife Johnnie of LaBelle, Texas; sister Connie Berry of Port Acres; sister Blanca Viator of Port Acres.

Jerry Marie Hopper was preceded in death by her parents Sopopa (Gonzales) Davidson and Oris Davidson Sr., as well as her brother Timothy Gonzales.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home located at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at St. Therese, the Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres. Rite of Committal will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Jerry Marie Hopper's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known her. She was an exceptional woman whose kindness, humor, and love brightened the lives of many. As we say goodbye to our dear friend and family member, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and carry that light forward. Rest peacefully, dear Jerry Marie Hopper; your spirit will forever shine brightly within us all.
