Jerry E. Brown, 84, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his residence in Nederland with his loving family at his side.
Jerry was born on November 22, 1939, in Jonesboro, Louisiana to Mildred Hendricks Brown and Hollie Brown. He was 1957 graduate of Jonesboro High School and was a United States Army Veteran. Jerry attended Electrician School which lead him to his career working at Goodyear Refinery in Beaumont. He enjoyed golfing; fishing; square dancing with the love of his life of sixty-three years, Marveline Brown; bowling; and most of all, walking all over Nederland and Port Neches talking and telling jokes with everyone he came into contact with.
Survivors include his wife, Marveline Brown of Nederland; Shaundra Brown of Nederland, Shelly Lang and her husband Tom of Austin and Stacey Brown; grandchildren, Brandy Brown Mitchell and her husband Curtis of Oklahoma, Catherine Lang and her husband Jordan Silverman of Austin and Adam Lang and his wife Rachel Lang of Fort Worth; four great grandchildren, Jennifer Payne of Lake Charles, Kayden Payne, Dylan Payne both of Oklahoma, Addison Brown of Conroe, Texas.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandson who he considered his son, Mark Brown.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
The family would like to say that Jerry has Gone fishing, and that “We all love you very much today and forever”!
