James “Jimmy” Mark Patsfield III passed away due to a pulmonary embolism on May 15th, 2022 while he was on his way to spend time with his beloved family.
Jimmy was born on June 5th, 1963 in Port Arthur, Texas to Sandra and James Patsfield, Sr. He graduated from Bishop Byrne High School and shortly after joined the United States Navy, where he developed his passion for helping veterans. After serving his country, Jimmy earned his living by dominating the trucking industry.
He is survived by his proudest achievement, his daughter Dakota Patsfield. Other surviving family members are his siblings, John Patsfield, Joy McCoy, and Jason Patsfield. He was also a loving uncle to Aaron McCoy, Genevieve Cupples, Phillip Cupples, Meagan Santos, Ian Patsfield, Sean Patsfield, and John Patsfield.
Jimmy was best known for being someone who put his own needs aside to help someone else as he had a heart the size of Texas. Countless people can recall a time where Jimmy helped them out of a bind. As the firstborn, he made it his sole responsibility to take care of his family, a job he took very seriously. Jimmy would try anything and do anything, from riding a motorcycle to getting a pedicure. He was a man with incredible work ethic and was able to turn anything into a business. He was never the kind to just get by with the minimum and made sure his work was above and beyond. All will remember Jimmy’s innate ability to make anybody laugh and in the same breath provide life-changing advice. He will be remembered forever by all the lives that he touched.
Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on May 21st, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until 3:30 p.m. Pastor Ken of Dream Center SETX will officiate. All are invited to attend as we memorialize our community’s greatest dad, brother, uncle, friend, and person.
