ibHarry James Metts, 92, of Nederland, TX, passed away surrounded by family and friends on February 13, 2009 at his home. He was born on May 9, 1916 in Stevens County, Kansas to the late Clarence and Ruby Broillier Metts. Harry was the loving husband of Laura Belle Metts of Nederland, TX cherished father of sons: Jim Metts and wife Ramona of Nederland, TX, Dave Metts and wife Karen of Belle Vista, Arkansas, Richard Metts and wife Darlene of Freeport, TX. He was the devoted grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Marion Metts and Hubert Metts his sisters: Mary Barns and Ruth Stevens and son: Gary Dewayne Metts.Harry was retired from Northern Natural Gas Co. as a supervisor. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, February 15, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland, TX.Graveside funeral service will be Monday, February 16, at 1:00 pm at Conroe Memorial Cemetery in Conroe, TX, with Rev.
