She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Port Neches.She was the loving mother of Kelby Abshire of Port Neches, TX, Darla Demahy of Lake Charles, LA, Paula Pulliam of Bridge City, TX, and Donna Suire of Nederland, TX cherished sister of James Cook of Santa Fe, TX and Emma Jean Stanfield of Orange, TX beloved grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Paul Abshire parents and brother, Mark W. Cook.A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, March 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 29th, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Dr. David Birdsong officiating.
