Evelyn Echols, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Evelyn was born in Combine, Texas to Albert and Ruby Farr and spent most of her early life in Dallas, TX. She later married W.M. Echols and they made their home in Port Arthur. She was a member of the Lakeview Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren M. Echols, her step-daughter, Ranee Marshall, parents, brother, George Farr and sister, Mary Donihoo. Evelyn is survived by step-sons, Jhan Echols and wife, Ernestine and Mike Echols; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren; brother, Jim Farr and wife, Barbara and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Special thanks to Odyssey Hospice and Paula for her loving care.
