Ernest Eugene KowalikErnest Eugene Kowalik, Age 91, of Nederland, passed away surrounded by his family in Nederland, TX on November 28, 2009.He was born to the late Kleophus Kowalik and Mary Kolodziejczyk in Karnes County, TX on July 6, 1918. Ernest was a member of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, was a Nederland resident for 50 years and retired from Texaco.He was the devoted husband of Bobbie M. Kowalik loving father of Gene and his wife Lori Kowalik of San Antonio and Kathy Kowalik of Nederland. Ernest was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester Kowalik and Ray Kowalik. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, November 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland.Graveside funeral services will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 1, at 1:00 p.m. with Father David Placette officiating.
