Emile Joseph LeBlanc was born on April 26, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas. He departed this life on March 2, 2026, at the age of 77 in Beaumont, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and family devotion.
Emile dedicated 15 years to his career as a knife maker at Buck Knives, where he was passionate about creating beautiful custom knives. After moving to Texas, he was a shipping operator at Equistar in Beaumont. His proudest accomplishments were the knives he crafted, each a testament to his skill and dedication. He was often found working on various projects, displaying the relentless work ethic that defined him throughout his life.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Emile held a deep love for his family. Emile served in the United States Navy and was a lifetime member of the VFW in Beaumont, reflecting his commitment to serving his country, which further underscored his character as a man who valued duty and loyalty.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine Walker LeBlanc, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Emile was the proud father of two sons, Emile "Joseph" LeBlanc and Randy Allen LeBlanc, both of Port Neches. His family continued to grow with the blessings of grandchildren: Logan Allen Corpuz and his wife, Brandi, of Groves, Ezekiel Jacob LeBlanc of Washington State, Cailyn Howe of Groves, and Amelia Cree of Port Neches. He also celebrated the joy of being a great-grandfather to Michael A. Parfait of Groves, cherishing every moment spent with his expanding family.
Emile is also survived by his sister, Sheryl Langston of Nederland, and his brother, Edward LeBlanc, and his wife, Charlotte, of Dayton, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis John and Doris Mae LeBlanc, as well as by his brothers, Tim LeBlanc and Gary LeBlanc, whose memories shall forever be treasured.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will take place at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall Street, Port Neches on March 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park after the funeral service.
Emile Joseph LeBlanc leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, craftsmanship, and commitment to family, reminding all who knew him of the importance of dedication, whether in his trade, his service to country, or most importantly, his devotion to his loved ones.
