Elizabeth Terracina Collins, a cherished member of the Nederland community, born on May 18, 1933, in Nederland, Texas. She peacefully passed away on February 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Elizabeth’s life was characterized by her deep-rooted connections and remarkable spirit. A proud graduate of Nederland High School in 1952, she embraced her roles wholeheartedly throughout her life. As a devoted homemaker and owner of Kids Korner, Elizabeth touched the lives of many. Her involvement in the community extended to being an active parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a valued member of the Hillcrest PTA. Elizabeth was not just a participant but a guiding force who made those around her feel special, particularly through her tireless efforts with Vacation Bible School, a testament to her commitment to instilling values in the younger generations.
A lifelong supporter of the Bulldogs, Elizabeth was affectionately known as a Bulldog fan, Westernaire Backer, and Bulldog Backer, radiating enthusiasm and spirit that inspired many in her circle.
Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathy Hazlett and her husband, Vaughn of Montgomery, Texas; her son, Jimmy Collins and his wife, Pam of Nederland; her son, David Collins and his wife, Laura of Garrison, Texas; her daughter, Brenda Sullivan and her husband, Lawrence of Nederland; and her son-in-law, Mike Feldschau of Nederland. She shared precious moments with her grandchildren: Meredith Bell and her husband, Cliff, Daniel Herrin and his wife, Kelsey, Michael Feldschau and his wife, Julie, Mandi Mosley and her husband, Josh, Justin Collins and his wife, Keri, Kaye Guidry and her husband, Todd, Cameron Collins and his wife, Courtney, Dustin Williams and his wife, Emily, and Colin Williams and his wife, Kendra. Elizabeth also took great pride in her great-grandchildren, including Carter Bell, Brenley Bell, Tatum Proenza (Peyton), Avery Ramirez, Isla Mosley, Ellis Mosley, Levi Collins , Jack Collins, Collins Guidry, Miles Guidry, Kirby Collins, and her great-great-grandchild, Jevonni Fuentes. She is further survived by her brother, James Terracina and his wife, Cheryl of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Filles Terracina; her beloved spouse, JB Collins; her brothers, Tony Terracina and Joe Terracina; her sisters, Alice Leblanc and Shirley Terracina; and her daughter, Pat Collins Feldschau.
Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. Following the visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, concluding with interment held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, in celebration and remembrance of Elizabeth’s impactful life.
May her soul rest in peace as her memory lives on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her.
