Don E. Keys, 90, of Corpus Christi (formerly Port Neches) passed away on September 22, 2025. Don was born in Port Arthur to Mattie and Egbert Keys on February 11, 1935.

Don graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Neches.

Don was the owner of Keys Electric in Port Arthur and enjoyed helping others. He was very active with several churches in doing their maintenance work. He was a hard worker and enjoyed life. His hobbies included traveling, working on antique cars and old engines. His grandkids said if anything was broke, Pop could fix it.

Don is survived by his wife, Elva Lee Hardin Keys, son Kurt Keys and his wife Joy of Port Arthur and his daughter Karen Keys Harding and her husband Tom of Orangefield, one step-daughter Carla Wallace and her husband, Gary of Corpus Christi, He is survived by seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and 3 brothers (Kenneth Keys, Gerald Keys, & Robert Keys).

We will miss Don more than words can say. There is much heartache for those in his life who he has left behind. We will miss his laughter, his wit, and his kind heart. He accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and will have eternal joy and peace in his heavenly home.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to First Baptist Church Port Neches.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches on Friday, September 26th at 2 pm in the mausoleum.
