Dee Puckett, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on May 6, 1956, in Beaumont, Texas, Dee lived a life filled with love warmth, and service to those she dearly loved.
A 1975 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School, Dee was known for her generous spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a proud supporter of PN-G football and an active member of Fellowship Church in Nederland, where she touched the lives of many with her big heart and kind demeanor. Dee's greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She often expressed that her proudest accomplishments included nurturing her family and treating everyone as if they were her own.
Dee is survived by her loving daughters, Chelsea Albrecht and her husband W.D. of Port Neches, and Kayla Stevens and her husband Charley of San Angelo. She was a doting grandmother to Patrick Brown, Nathaniel Willis, William Albrecht, Deanna Albrecht, Maddison Stevens, Dewayne Stevens, Sierra Stevens, and Brooklynn Stevens, as well as many other grandchildren whom she embraced and loved throughout her life. Dee is also survived by her sisters, Rhonda Mathew and her husband Calvin of Port Neches, and Melissa Ray and her husband Walter of Fannett, along with her brother Freddy Condreay and his wife Connie of El Dorado, Kansas, and her sisters Tammy Condreay of Eldorado, Kansas, and Vicki Levesque and her husband Marc of Oakland, North Carolina. Additionally, she is remembered by numerous nieces and nephews whose lives she enriched through her love and guidance.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Steve Puckett; her parents, Edwina and Curtis Ayo; her father, Jerry Condreay; and her son, DeWayne Brown. Each of these losses has left a profound impact on her family, yet Dee's legacy of love will forever remain in their hearts.
Visitation services will be held on February 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall Street, Port Neches, Texas. The funeral service will take place on February 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM, also at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches followed by a graveside service at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Dee Puckett’s life was a testament to love and kindness, and she will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind.
