Darrel Wayne LaSalle, a beloved husband, father, and community member, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on January 1, 1960, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Darrel lived a life marked by a deep love for his family and a dedication to his craft.
Throughout his career, Darrel made significant contributions as a painter and sandblaster, employed notably at Apache Industries. His keen eye for detail and his unwavering work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Family was of utmost importance to Darrel, and he found immeasurable joy in the company of his loved ones. He enjoyed playing Poker with his friends, fishing and riding his Harley. His legacy will continue to resonate through the lives of his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who remember him as a gentle guide and a source of unconditional love.
Darrel is survived by his devoted wife of 23 years, Linda LaSalle, residing in Groves; son, Chris Hall and his wife, Tina of Azle; daughter, Ashley LaVergne and her husband, Daniel of Groves; brother, Barry LaSalle and his wife, Beverly of Nederland; sister, Bonnie Theriot of Port Arthur; and sister, Darlene Faye Lombardo of Weatherford. Each of them holds cherished memories of laughter and warmth, a testament to Darrel’s kind heart and nurturing spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy LaSalle and Verna Hebert, and his sister, Debbie Harrison, who remembered him fondly as a loving brother.
Darrel Wayne LaSalle will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family, and his influence will echo through generations to come.
