We will miss our beloved brother, uncle, greatuncle, and greatgreatuncle.......Dan A. MalletDan A. Mallet, 82, born April 2, 1927, at Port Arthur, Texas, expired September 9, 2009 at 5:15 a.m. He was a son of the late longtime Port Arthurian, Clell Joseph, Sr., and Marie Carriere Mallet. A lifelong bachelor, he worked as a maintenance man at, and retired from a Port Arthur retirement home. Also, Mallet was a veteran of the United States Navy from World War II.The one asleep with the Lord was a member of Bethel Temple Nondenominational. Additionally, he was an affiliate of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.Survivors include brother, Clell Mallet and wife Sybil of Port Arthur 2 sisters, Audrey Todd and husband Robert of Nederland and Dorothy Vargas of Nederland numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents brother, Franklin Charles Mallet and 2 sisters, Thelma Rita Broussard and Lydia Marie Hyde.Serving as pallbearers are his nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland, Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.Funeral Services will be Friday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Bro.
