Cloran Wheeler, a man whose life was a testament to love and devotion, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, in Buna, Texas. Born on March 14, 1936, Cloran lived a life rich in compassion, always putting the needs of his loved ones first. He was a lifelong caregiver to his beloved wife and son, embodying unwavering dedication and strength.
Cloran found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He held a special place in his heart for all animals, particularly cows, horses, dogs, and chickens, finding solace and companionship in their presence. His days were often filled with the comforting sounds of country and Christian music, which brought him peace and inspiration.
He is survived by his devoted son, Randall "Randy" Scott Wheeler, and a loving extended family including Kimberly Hutson, Harley Haymon, James "Bubba" Hutson and his wife, Christy, and Chelsey Nichols and her husband, Josh. Cloran's legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, Scott Wheeler and Morgan Thibodeaux, and his great-grandchildren, Alaina Grace Wheeler and Evan Randall Wheeler. He is also survived by his brother, Ray Wheeler; sister, Verleen Veale; son-in-law, Gary Thibodeaux; sister-in-law, Faye Burke and her husband, Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cloran was preceded in death by his parents, O.A. and Jesse Wheeler; his cherished wife, Gracie Lee Wheeler; his daughter, Candice Wheeler; his sister in law, Jacqueline D. Jordan and his brother, Odis Wheeler. A graveside service will be held to honor Cloran's life on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
