Clifford L. Burge, a devoted husband, father, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 85. Born on September 20, 1940, Clifford shared 64 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Donna Mae Burge, a testament to their enduring bond and partnership.

Clifford proudly served his country in the US Navy, 1959 - 1963 and the Naval Reserve until 1968 before embarking on a distinguished 40-year career with the Kansas City Southern Railroad, from which he retired. He was known for his unwavering dedication and hardworking spirit, always ensuring his family was well-provided for so that his wife could focus on their home. His commitment extended beyond his work, as he remained a constant source of support and strength for those he loved. Even after retirement, he maintained close work and high school friendships, regularly meeting for coffee and checking in on one another in times of need.

Outside of his professional life, Clifford found joy in a variety of passions. He relished going to his family camp house on Lake Sam Rayburn spending summers with family. Other summers were spent driving his family across country to be with his wife's entire family in California. He was an avid collector of coins, model trains, and railroad pocket watches. His love for cars was legendary; he meticulously cared for them, always fixing and waxing them to keep them in mint condition. A firm but fair father, who always believed in financially providing for his family. For quality family time, every week he took them all on a Sunday drive to "somewhere" which was a chance to spend time with them because he worked so much.

Clifford is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Donna Mae Burge; his daughter, Theresa Pecorino and her husband, Darren of Groves; his son, Terry Lee Burge of Los Angeles, California; and his beloved grandchildren, Christopher Galloway and his wife, Drewan, Dustin Pecorino, Maebellene L. Burge, and Andretti L. Burge. He also leaves behind his great-grandchild, Caspian Galloway, and his sister, Louise Speer, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Lottie Burge, and his brother, Charles "Bruce" Burge.

A graveside service will be held on August 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM. at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
