Cheryl Kahclamat, 59 of Nederland, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024

     Cheryl was born July 27, 1964, to parents Rose and John C. Romero Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas, where she grew up. She moved around the state of Texas several times throughout her adult life, eventually settling in Nederland. Cheryl worked as a high school English teacher for many years in Port Arthur, as well as a substance abuse counselor and realtor for a short time.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, as well as siblings, Julie Miller, Linda Romero and Clifford Romero. 

     She is survived by children, Kayla Kahclamat and Ian Kahclamat, siblings, Gary Romero, Mona Doyle, and John Romero Jr., and many nieces, nephews and aunts.

     There will be a private memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20th at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
