Charles H. Hyatt

1939 ∼ 2026

Charles H. Hyatt

It is with profound sadness and love that we share the passing of our dear father, grandfather, and patriot, Charles Hyatt. Charles peacefully entered eternal rest on June 22, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas, just shy of his 87th birthday, having been born on July 23, 1939.

Charles lived a life rich in devotion, passion, and cherished moments with those he loved. He had a special touch with plants, and his garden was always a source of pride and peace for him. A man of strong convictions, he loved a good discussion and enjoyed listening to Rush Limbaugh. We were so proud of his service in the Army, a testament to his dedication to his country, a country he loved deeply as a true patriot. But above all, Charles cherished his family. There was nothing he loved more than gathering with us all, creating memories that we will hold dear forever. His faith was a cornerstone of his life; he loved God deeply and found great comfort and community in his Bible study.

He leaves behind his loving daughters, Becky H. Vizena and her husband, Arnold of LaBelle, Kathy Seiver and her husband Mark of Katy, and Dana Palermo and her husband, Johnny of Fannett. Charles was also a proud grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren, Ben Vizena and his wife, Anna, Bethany Molina and her husband, Max, Brandon Vizena, Nick Palermo, and Nate Palermo.

Charles is now reunited with the love of his life, his devoted wife of 65 years, Nelva Hyatt. He also joins his parents, Ira and Nannie Mae Hyatt, and his brother, Max Hyatt, in eternal rest.

Charles' life will be honored with a graveside service to be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.

A Military Honor service will also be presented.
