Charles Ronald Feldschau, 65, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas.
Charles was born on August 1, 1958, to Cora Mavis Hufstetler Feldschau and James T. Feldschau, Sr. He graduated from Port Neches High School in 1976 and was a retired pole yard manager for Entergy for thirty-five years. Charles was also a member of the First United Methodist Church
Charles went by the nickname of “Captain Ron “. He loved to fish and race his remote control boats; taking trips out to the lake in his camper with his dog Maggie. Captain Ron was a joker and always loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed playing pool and listening to country music and rock n roll music; watching sports and hanging around with his friends. Captain Ron also enjoyed playing shuffleboard and darts and was good at all of them.
He really enjoyed his life loved his friends and family More than anything his saying was as Huey Lewis said “I’m not here for a long time, I’m here for a good time” and I had a good time. He enjoyed the simple and little things in life. It didn’t take much to make him smile. In his younger years he hunted and caught alligators. He was fascinated with lighthouses and ships and he enjoyed “sittin” by the water or floating. He was a big nature guy and loved setting up his humming
Bird feeders and watching the little birds he’d sit and watch them for hours and found peace in the beauty of nature. He loved the rain and adored his daughter and grandkids more than anything. He was the best dad and pawpaw.
Survivors include his daughter, Hannah Charlene Feldschau and her fiancée’ Matthew Todd Miller of Port Neches; grandchildren, Karson Tanner Breuer, Kyler Charles Miller, Karson James Miller and Kinsley Grace Miller; his sister, Sandra Feldschau Cutaia of Port Neches.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Feldschau, Sr. and Cora Mavis Feldschau; brothers, James “Jimbo” T. Feldschau, Jr. and Roy Alvin Prothro.
A private family “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
