Cecile Thibodeaux Landry

Cecile Thibodeaux Landry, 87 of Groves, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 in Port Arthur with her loving family at her side. Cecile was born December 03, 1938 in St. Martinville, Louisiana to Kaleb and Alice Thibodeaux.

She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception/St. Peter Catholic Church. Cecile loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She shared a cherished 64 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Vincent "Boy Landry who preceded her in death. Cecile took immense joy in spending time with her daughters—Patricia Jara and husband, Stephen, of Port Arthur; Margie Marino and husband, Michael, also of Port Arthur; and Bonnie Brock of Crystal Beach. Her spirit lived vibrantly through the generations, including her grandchildren, Stephenie Jessica Alwine, Bobbi McGrath and wife, Hayley; Jesse “Bubba” Jara, Karen Allison and husband, Andy; Kristi Gupta and husband, Maneesh; Brent Brock and wife, Amanda; and Bruce Brock and wife, Amanda; as well as her great-grandchildren, Mala Gupta, Chloe Allison, Caleb Alwine, Maddi Graffagnino, Sophie Allison, Macie Allison, Samuel Brock, Aarav Gupta, Jaanvi Gupta, Evelyn Brock, and Noah Brock. She was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews. Cecile was preceded in death by her parents, Kaleb and Alice Thibodeaux and sister, Eula Hebert; brothers, Wilmer “Black” Thibodeaux and Paul “Moose” Thibodeaux.

Cecile played Pokeno once a week, a pastime she shared with great friends. She enjoyed hosting weekly coffee for friends and family. She loved traveling and dancing as often as possible.

Cecile will be honored with services beginning with a visitation on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. A rosary will be recited that same evening from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass, in celebration of Cecile’s life, will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception/St. Peter Catholic Church, located in Groves. The community is invited to gather in honor of her memory and the indelible mark she left on the lives she touched. A graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland, Texas.

Cecile Thibodeaux Landry’s legacy is one of steadfast love, and family devotion. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a guiding light whose gentle spirit continues to inspire. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
